Collecting athletes'autographs is a hobby that has its roots in the 19th century, when the first sports cards were produced. These cards were often signed by the players and thus became the first autographed collectibles. Over time, autographs became sought-after collectibles. Some autographs, especially those of legendary athletes, can fetch high prices at auction. Nowadays, autographs are still popular among collectors. Whether it's signed football jerseys, baseball cards, or tennis rackets, autographs add a personal touch and historical value to collectibles. Although there are various methods for obtaining autographs, from mail solicitations to meeting players at events, autograph collecting remains a fascinating and rewarding hobby.
