Věra Čáslavská is one of the greatest legends of Czechoslovak gymnastics and the most successful Czechoslovak Olympian with a total of seven Olympic gold medals. She was very popular in Japan thanks to her successes at the Olympic Games in Tokyo 1964 and Mexico 1968.
