Historic issue of Věstník sokolský (Sokol Herald) number 15 from April 13, 1938, volume IL (49), containing pages 193-208, with motto "Loyalty for Loyalty". Věstník sokolský was the official periodical press organ of the Czechoslovak Sokol Organization and main communication medium of the Sokol movement. The April 1938 edition comes from a dramatic period just before the Munich crisis, when Czechoslovakia came under growing pressure from Nazi Germany. The motto "Loyalty for Loyalty" had special significance at a time when national unity and determination were needed. The Sokol movement played a key role in preparing national defense and mobilizing the population. The year 1938 was a pivotal year for Czechoslovakia and this magazine documents the atmosphere of the period before Munich.
