Authentic original Sokol cap with badge, manufactured by Stankovský. This rare cap represents a traditional part of the Sokol costume and was an essential part of the uniform worn by Sokol members. Sokol caps had a characteristic appearance and were worn by Sokol members during ceremonial occasions, rally performances, and official events. The Stankovský company was apparently a specialized manufacturer of Sokol equipment and costumes. The badge on the cap documents belonging to the Sokol movement and its ideals of physical and spiritual education. After 1948, the Sokol movement was banned and such items became rare. Unique memorabilia for collectors of Sokol souvenirs, lovers of Czech national tradition, or those interested in the history of the Czechoslovak physical education movement.
