Original postcard featuring Előre - DC Stadium in Békéscsaba, Hungary, marked with number No 8. This collector's item is in perfect condition - unused, unaddressed, and without a stamp. Békéscsaba is a city in southeastern Hungary in the Southern Great Plain region with approximately 60,000 inhabitants, capital of Békés County. Békéscsabai Előre FC is a traditional Hungarian football club founded in 1912. The name "Előre" means "Forward" in Hungarian and was a typical name for sports clubs in the socialist period. DC in the stadium name probably refers to "Dolgozók Csapata" (Workers' Team). Békéscsaba had a strong football tradition and the club played in the highest Hungarian league. The Southern Great Plain is an important agricultural region of Hungary with its own sports culture. A rare postcard ideal for collectors of stadium memorabilia, fans of Hungarian football, or enthusiasts of eastern Hungary and regional clubs.
