Expert note – FAQ

What links Josef Masopust, Ladislav Vízek and Ivan Hašek?
Josef Masopust won the Ballon d’Or in 1962, Ladislav Vízek won Olympic gold with Czechoslovakia at Moscow 1980, and Ivan Hašek captained the national team at the 1990 World Cup in Italy. Together they represent three different generations of successful Czechoslovak football.

How can I tell an original photograph from a reproduction?
An original photograph is developed from a negative onto photographic paper, whereas a reproduction is usually printed or copied. An original can be recognised by the photo paper surface, sharp detail and often a paper brand on the back. Originals are worth considerably more to collectors.

Why collect photos from exhibitions and indoor tournaments?
Photos from exhibitions and indoor tournaments show former stars in a relaxed atmosphere and often bring together players from different generations who never met on the pitch in their careers. They make an interesting addition to classic match photos and autographs.
