What is Dukla Praha?
Dukla Praha is an army football club that dominated the Czechoslovak league in the 1950s and 1960s, winning many league titles. Stars such as Josef Masopust, Svatopluk Pluskal and Ladislav Novák, key players of the 1962 World Cup silver team, played for Dukla.

How long did Josef Masopust play for Dukla Praha?
Josef Masopust spent most of his playing career at Dukla Praha, from the early 1950s to the late 1960s. He won many league titles with the club, and in 1962, as a Dukla player, he received the Ballon d’Or as European Footballer of the Year.

How can I recognise an original team photograph?
Original team photographs developed from a negative are usually sharper and have a different surface from printed reproductions. The back is an important clue, with a photographer’s or agency stamp, caption or handwritten notes that help with dating and identifying the players.
