Original club pennant of TJ Úsvit Chýňava marked with founding year 1932, made of textile with single-sided printing. Chýňava is a village in Michalovce district in eastern Slovakia in Košice Region. TJ Úsvit Chýňava was a physical education unit representing this rural village. The name "Úsvit" (Dawn/Daybreak) symbolizes new beginning and hope, which were typical names for physical education units in the socialist period. The founding year 1932 proves the club was established during the First Czechoslovak Republic, thus having a long pre-war tradition. Physical education units (TJ) were basic sports organizations in Czechoslovakia and played an important role in rural community life. Single-sided printing of the pennant ensured practical use at sporting events. Rare memorabilia for collectors of Slovak sports souvenirs, fans of eastern Slovak sports, or enthusiasts of rural sports clubs with interwar tradition.
