Original club pennant of BSG Sachsenring Zwickau, made of textile with single-sided printing. BSG (Betriebssportgemeinschaft - company sports club) Sachsenring Zwickau was an East German sports club from Zwickau in Saxony. Zwickau is a city in Saxony with approximately 90,000 inhabitants, historically significant for Trabant automobile industry. Sachsenring refers to the famous Sachsenring racing circuit near the city, known for motorcycle and car Grand Prix. BSG was associated with local automobile industry during GDR era. The club had a strong football section that played in higher East German competitions. After German reunification in 1990, the club was transformed and today exists as FSV Zwickau.
