Original club pennant of Berliner Fussball Club - Dynamo, made of textile with double-sided printing. BFC Dynamo was a legendary East Berlin football club, the most successful team in East German Oberliga. The club was associated with the Ministry for State Security (Stasi) and won a record 10 consecutive championship titles between 1979-1988. Dynamo Berlin played home matches at Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark in East Berlin. The name "Dynamo" was typical for sports clubs associated with police and security forces in socialist countries. The club had a strong fan base and controversial history connected with the GDR political regime. After German reunification in 1990, the club dropped to lower competitions. Double-sided printing of the pennant ensured quality presentation of club symbols. Rare memorabilia for collectors of German football souvenirs, BFC Dynamo fans, or enthusiasts of East German football and GDR history.
