Historic membership card of the Czechoslovak Sokol Organization from the period 1933-1935 with stamps, without photograph. This period falls into the second half of the interwar First Republic when the Sokol movement experienced great expansion. The Czechoslovak Sokol Organization was the supreme organization of the Sokol movement founded in 1862 by Miroslav Tyrš and Jindřich Fügner. The years 1933-1935 were important for Sokol preparation for the XI. All-Sokol gathering planned for 1938. Stamps on the card prove membership validity and participation in Sokol activities in individual years. A card without photograph represented a common format for some types of membership in this period. The Sokol movement was an important part of Czechoslovak national life and physical education. Rare memorabilia for collectors of Sokol documents, lovers of First Republic history, or those interested in interwar physical education and national movement.
