First Day Cover (FDC) from the 1972 Ice Hockey World Championship, containing two stamps in values of 60 hellers and 1 Kčs with special postmark from April 12, 1972 from Prague. The 1972 Hockey World Championship was held in Prague at the Exhibition Grounds arena and was one of the most successful tournaments for Czechoslovakia - the home team won the silver medal under coach Vladimír Kostka. The gold medal was won by the Soviet Union. The tournament took place April 7-22, 1972. The FDC with hockey theme was issued on the occasion of this prestigious tournament held in Prague.
